Bret K. Smith, DVM
Dr. Smith graduated from Oregon State University in 2003. He joined Animal Clinic
in 2007 and is now a partner in the practice. Having a father who is a veterinarian
and practice owner of over 30 years, Dr. Smith has been around veterinary medicine
all his life. Dr. Smith specializes in small animal medicine with a strong emphasis on
orthopedic surgery, theriogenology (reproduction), and challenging internal medicine
cases. Dr. Smith is married to his beautiful wife, Jill, and together they have two boys,
ages 2 years and 10 months. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Smith and his family enjoy a
variety of outdoor activities.

Lori C. Pritchett, DVM
Dr. Pritchett joined Animal Clinic in 2003 and is currently a partner in the practice. She enjoys all aspects of a mixed-animal practice. Dr. Pritchett currently serves on the Executive Board of the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association. Lori and her husband, Larry, have three children and two grandchildren; two horses, one dog, and two cats. In her spare time Dr. Pritchett enjoys the company of her family and volunteering for Walla Walla Pony Club and Horsemasters.

Alexis J. Campbell, DVM
Dr. Campbell grew up on a small dairy farm in Southern Idaho, and at an early age she decided on a career involving animals. She obtained her B.S. in Animal Science at the University of Idaho and then graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Campbell enjoys the challenge of working in a mixed animal setting, and her desire is to provide clients and patients with the best care and up-to-date medicine available. Outside of veterinary medicine, her interests include riding and training horses, running, and spending time with family and friends. She met her husband while training for her second marathon and has been happily married for two years.

Phillip J. Kress, DVM
Dr. Kress, now enjoying retirement, is the former senior partner of our practice. He
joined the now-retired Dr. Follett in 1974 when the clinic was Follett Veterinary Clinic,
practicing small and large animal medicine and surgery. He has co-authored books and
articles on the treatment and management of llamas in the Northwest. Phil and his wife,
Nancy, have two daughters, five grandsons, one dog, two Quarter Horses, and a mule.
Dr. Kress is now enjoying hunting, fishing, flying, long-distance road bicycling, and
everything else that can be done outdoors.
